intern architect


An intern architect who is skilled in all technical project delivery phases. We're seeking a self-motivated studio member can work independently, communicate effectively with team members, and manage several workflows. 


  • Graduate of an accredited architecture program and enrollment with a provincial regulatory board.

  • Minimum of two(2) years of post-graduate experience with an architecture firm in Canada on a variety of projects/building types.

  • Demonstrated design aptitude and capabilities.  

  • Expert knowledge in Revit, Sketchup, and AutoCAD.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office, and a range of rendering softwares (Enscape, Rhino, etc.) considered an asset.

  • Developed knowledge of and experience with the Alberta Building Code/National Building Code.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Flexibility to meet deadlines effectively.

  • Ability to work within and lead a team.



  • Work with project leadership including but not limited to the principal, job captain, or project team leader to create work plans, drawing units, scope of services, and budgets.

  • Perform precedent research or studies on a variety of project related topics or needs.

  • Assist/facilitate the design process including creation of design concepts, presentation material, and required submission documentation.

  • Participate in the production of successful design and contract documentation in alignment with office standards of quality, client program, and budget needs.

  • Prepare outline specifications and assist in detailed project specification development.

  • Coordinate building and development permit submissions.

  • Meet project criteria and deliver scheduled tasks.

  • Assist in consultant coordination and leading design and production meetings.

  • Provide graphic assistance for proposal and marketing initiatives.

  • Work with supervisor and authorities having jurisdiction to interpret and conform to codes and bylaws.
